Migrate Product Wizard issue "Target system cannot able to download the file"

Config done so far:
- tomcat-users.xml update
- <role rolename="tomcat"/>
<role rolename="role1"/>
<role rolename="admin-gui"/>
<role rolename="manager-gui"/>
<role rolename="PegaDiagnosticUser"/>
<role rolename="PegaAuthUser"/>
<user username="tomcat" password="tomcat" roles="tomcat"/>
<user username="both" password="tomcat" roles="tomcat,role1"/>
<user username="role1" password="tomcat" roles="role1"/>
<user username="manager" password="tomcat" roles="tomcat,admin-gui,manager-gui,PegaDiagnosticUser,PegaAuthUser"/>
- <role rolename="tomcat"/>
- Data-Admin-System-Security instance creation
- have created an instance with following values
- Short Description - PegaDiagnosticUser
- System Granting access - Host name of the system where the pega instance is deployed (from ipconfig /all)
- Security Role - PegaDiagnosticUser
- User Name - manager
- password - tomcat
- have created an instance with following values
- restarted the server
- in the Wizard -->
- product and version were selected
- Hostname - IP address of the target server
- Port - port used for pega in target server
- Context - prweb
- username - [email protected]
- password - install

Have tried the URL ( http://1xxxxx:7190/prweb/DiagnosticData?path=StaticContent/global/ServiceExport/PESamples_20150408.154250.zip) directly in target server and gave user/pwd as manager/tomcat, the file is getting downloaded, but not happening via wizard.
What am i missing here please?

Hi Dheena,
Thanks for checking the same. As you go the telnet command prompt we can confirm there is no issue with access to the target system.
Inorder to verify there is something from system causing this.Could you please perform the following and let me know the result.
1) From command prompt change to a directory on the application server system where you want the files from the remote system to be downloaded.
2) Connect with ftp command to the target system from the application server system.
sftp <user_name>@<ipaddress of the target system> or ftp <user_name>@<ipaddress of the target system>
If it is password less connection it will not ask you for password.
Once connected please perform the following.
1) Execute the pwd command to view the current working directory of the target system. --> FYI,For viewing the current local directory you can use lpwd
sftp> pwd
2) Use cd command and move to the directory of the target system from where you want to download the file
sftp> cd <location>
3) Execute below command to try downloading the file.
sftp> get <file_name to download>

Hi Dheena,
Just to make sure, did you create an instance of the Data-Admin-System-Security class with PegaDiagnosticUser security role as the key. The user and password information must match the ones specified at server for this security role?

Yes Mahesh, have created the instance with the same username and password provided in tomcat-users.xml file.
Also i tried accessing the URL in error message directly in the target server browser, gave the same username and pwd and file is getting downloaded. Not sure why pega cant able to do that.

Hi Dheena,
Can you please telnet the target server IP with the port from the application server system and let me know the result?
telnet <target server IP> <Port number used for the connection to the target server>
Eg: telnet Proprietary information hidden 110

Thanks for getting back Sudhish.
After giving telnet, got a blank screen with command prompt name as telnet, if i type something inside it is showing as connection lost with following error
HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1
Transfer-Encoding: chunked
Date: Thu, 12 Jan 2017 11:54:42 GMT
Connection: close
0
Connection to host lost.

Hi ,
I tried from a HTTPs (Source) system to send a request to a HTTP(target) system. I can see the Target HTTP system is getting the request but it's saying unable to download file . and it fails with a message that
DOWNLOAD STATUS : Target system was unable to download the archive file because of an IOException: java.io.IOException: HTTPS hostname wrong: should be <lnpnprhzpga023v.int.XXXXX.com> .
where as if try the same with http source and http target it is working fine . ( Able to download the zip) . So is it a connection issue that http system is not ableto create a HTTPS connection to download the file from source system ?
I was checking the followng Activity DownloadZipFile in Pega-ImportExport:07-10-19 .it is trying to get a HTTP connection
code from step -3 java method .

http.setRequestProperty("Authorization", authorization);
is that the probelm that it always tries for http connection and so it fails as the system it is trying to connect is https ?
