Microsoft Excel 2010

I'am trying to import an excel into my Pega Robotic studio. Below are steps I performed,
1. An automation was created; under Toolbox-> Connectors-> Choose Items-> Pega Robotic Static members-> From Directory Location, selected the OpenSpan.Office.dll from the path: C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenSpan\OpenSpan Studio for Microsoft Visual Studio 2015\Office2013. Also pasted the dll in the connectors. The Microsoft components were listed (excel, words, outlook, etc.,)
2. Added this excel component in my automation, under properties-> Workbook, gave the path of the excel from my machine(tried both .xlsx, .xlsm).
I get a warning window which shows, "Property value is not valid". The details button shows "Microsoft Excel 2010 is not present."
Note: During installation, I did not choose any office product as I have 2013 already installed in machine. I could see the same issue, when I tried to import the dll from Office2010 (step 1)
Please advise on how to proceed?

During installation you need to indicate the version of Office you have installed. This does not install Office, just Office support. You must match the version you have installed. Once you have done this, you should use the Microsoft Excel connector which is on the Toolbox. For some help in using this connector, see this post.
