Marking the columns in Excel sheet as Read only Fields

We have a requirement , need to generate the excel  from pega with a read only columns

Hi Avinash,

What is the motive behind it ? If making the columns read only is the only intention then i would suggest you to try Export to PDF rather than Excel.

I dont think it is possible to do from PEGA.

Hi Avinash,

Take a look at this document: Transforming Data. Building Stuff In the Model. Utilizing Java APIs.... which shows one way of using Apache POI to create an Excel File.

You should be able to modify the code which generates the document so that it makes columns read-only - I haven't tried this though.
