To make a section readable only
User inputs information in a section, and I would like to make whole section read only in other flows.

You can think of using a flag . Set it to true via preaction activity or data transform of the step where you want user to provide input. and via post action activity make it false
Now in the section, use the flag as readonly condition for the panels or layout.

Hope you are doing well, In order to implement the section to be editable in one flow and read-only in other flows then you can follow the below steps:
1. Created a new case with 3 stages as shown below,
2. Created the Test1 section with two input fields as shown below,
3. Created the Test2 section by adding the Dynamic Layout and then dragged the Test1 section into the Dynamic Layout as shown below,

4. Select the Test1 section which is inside the Test2 Dynamic Layout then go to Presentation tab of its properties and change the value to Read-Only and save the sections as shown below,
5. Now I can able to enter the data in the first stage as shown below,
6. And I can just view the content of Test1 section as read-only in the second stage as shown below,

hi Mahesh,
thank you, the approach works. however, the checkbox display changed to check mark only without the square box. is there a way i can retain the both checkmark and check box like they are in editable section?

After my analysis and research of options of checkbox, I am not sure how to retain the checkbox along with caption when it is in read only mode.
But if you don’t want the default value of checkbox i.e. True/False beside the caption of checkbox then you can set it to your custom value as tried below:

Thank you for your reply. I am able to retain only caption, and also I am able to retain only the check mark with out the square box. I was able to get the checkbox and check mark both in a case where the harness is perform, and the same could not be retained when the harness is confirm. Looks like it is a harness issue.
