Logging Case Type fields

Hi, I am using Pega 8 and i am trying to log a Case Type Field value into the logs. I did see that "PegaRULES-ALERT" does by default log some px and py attributes. Is there a way that i can add my Case Type Field to this log or would i have to create a new type of log were i have to log Case type field values.
