List of cases along with their corresponding parent cases (if any) in a Report Definition
Case Explorer has a number of cases. Some of them have parent child relationship. How can the name of cases be listed along with the parent child relationship in a report definition so that outuput of report would be something like:?
List of Cases Name Parent Case Name (If Any)

I got an work around with the Page Declare_CaseTree.
1) change to page list
2) refer Declare_CaseTree.pxResults to the Tree Grid.
This will provide the cases in hierarchy as a parent child relationship. My need is to display a list of all cases in a column and the other colum has the parents if any.
But if there is a better way, please share.

For child cases, the parent work object ID would be referenced in the pxCoverInsKey property. Can you use that property in your report?

Thank you for your reply. I am looking for the way to report the case type name themselves; not the work object. I am researching which class holds the property that define parent child relationship between the cases. We can easily view the cases parent child relationship in case explorer in designer studio but having them in report definition is needed in order to display to the users that do not have access to designer studio.

I don't know about checking to see what parent case types a case type has, however you may be able to leverage the data stored in the pagelist Rule-Obj-CaseType.pyCoverableClasses to determine the child case types of a given case type.

Can you check "pyAssignmentListGadget" OOTB flow action which populate and display list of cases, open and completed assignments?
