Limit Add items for repeating grid

I have a requirement to limit Add items in a repeating grid layout to 20.

Source for the repeating grid is page list

how to achieve this?

You can try putting the visibility/disability condition on the button by checking the length of pagelist.

Adding to the previous comment, you could try to use Table/Operations settings/Advancec/Run activity before grid update.

There will be OOTB activity pyPreGridUpdate which you could customize
