Launch an external URL in a specific browser
We have a requirement to Launch a URL from an outbound email triggered from Pega in a specific browser(Firefox rather than IE), is there any way we can configure it ? If we can configure the Firefox settings as a default browser then the URL launch from the outbound email (triggered from Pega) is directly loading in the firefox but is there any way where we can configure in the Pega outbound correspondence?

Not sure I understood your requirement correctly or not.
if you want to open specific URL only on a specific browser then script like this
open -a Firefox 'http://www.pega.com/'
can be explored.

Thanks for the note Santanu. Your understanding on my requirement is correct but in order to use the suggest script, do we need to write any custom control and embed the following script ? Dont we any OOTB methods in which we can ensure that the URL is always being opened in a specific browser like Firefox?

You can have a try into this discussion by writing your function in UserWorkForm and use it on Run Script action of the button/link click event.
Note: Also i am not sure that it might work in your case because from a URL, you can't target a specific browser. That's a client preference and not something that you can specify in a URI.

This is the command which can be run in bash as specified over here.
