I tried creating the use case in house and could see the same behavior as you have seen.

Seems like this is how it in 7.4.which is to check whether the string is endling properly or not. \n,\b\ are taken as open strings.but if you use\\xyz...then it's taking as a complete string.

For correct justification may be you can raise a SR.
