This seems like a questions you should be asking Jenkins support. The prpcServiceUtils is returning the failure code and message like it should.

Any idea why prpc is sending an error message. I am getting the same issue but I can see the message "export success" in logs but the export task is failed.

Hello,
Adding to the information provided by Celeste, i too had a bit of similar scenario where my import task was successful and export task was failed. In this scenario my build job status was shown correctly as "Failure".
So as per this i can say that the jenkins plugin last task status is considered to the overall status of the build job, may be you try to raise this query in jenkins forum for further information on this issue.

Adding to this information, i have a suggestion for you to try. You can configure the Import task run conditionally based on Export task status using this plugin or some other plugin like this to ignore the second task run if the first task is failed, so that the overall status of the build will show the correct status.
