Is jdbc connection possible to on-prem Oracle 11g R2 with Pega Platform8.8(Cloud)?
We are considering upgrading from Pega Platform 8.4 to 8.8.
According to the Platform Support Guide, Oracle 11g R2 is not supported on Pega Platform 8.8.
We are using Oracle 11g R2 on an on-prem server for jdbc data integration with Pega Platform (Cloud).
In the above case, we recognize that Oracle 11g R2 does not require version upgrades and can continue to be used. (If the versions of java and jdbc installed on Pega Platform(Cloud) are supported by the Platform Support Guide.)

I don't know if that is possible, I'm not sure if anybody has ever tried this before.
The issue is that this would not be supported, so I wouldn't even suggest trying it just to check if it works or not. I'm pretty sure that 8.8 with Oracle 11g R2 won't even work.

The Compaitability Matrix itself says the answer. It's not advisable to perform as such as it may cause compaitability issues in the application which is not good. If there's any specific challenge with your requirmenet in the organization, It's advisable to discuss with Pega first by raising an INC through MSP Portal.
