Intermittent error while sending Emails with different Error messages like "Could not convert socket to TLS" "smtpsendfailedexc"

We are using the CorrCreate, CorrNew OOTB activities to send emails, but we are facing intermittent issues like below

** Caught javax.mail.MessagingException, Could not convert socket to TLS ** caught com.sun.mail.smtp.smtpsendfailedexception

We are using Pega 7.1.9 version and the Sender email account port is 587.

Could anyone please help us to resolve these intermittent issues.

** caught com.sun.mail.smtp.smtpsendfailedexception

Log Error # Details :

javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not convert socket to TLS; 
  nested exception is: 
	javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Remote host closed connection during handshake 
	at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTransport.startTLS(SMTPTransport.java:1999) 
	at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTransport.protocolConnect(SMTPTransport.java:709)
