Installing Pega Personal Edition 7.2 in mac OS?

Hi,

I want to know if the Pega Personal Edition 7.2 is supported in macOS? need to install it in my macbook and according to prerequisite it's recommend only for microsoft windows. Is it possible to install it in a mac. If not, is there a workaround?

Hi Akshay,

That post was made about a year earlier and has not provided any definitive answer. So can you please provide any solution or suggestion for this since a new version of personal edition is there at present.

I think personal edition is only supported for windows. That's why exe files has been released with the media.

You can create a virtual windows environment and download the PRPC personal edition into it.

Well,

Switching to Macbook pro soon so I will find out ;-) Here is my plan though:

1. Copy over the install directory of the PE directory from a windows machine ie its tomcat webapp directory

2. Install postgresql on the Macbook

3. Run the sql script from the installation directory of the PE on windows.

 

I dont see any reasons yet why that wouldnt work. Offcourse a completely automated setup on MacOS would be nicer but ow well.
