Install Pega 7.3 PE

Can someone guide me in installing Pega 7.3 PE? Is it available as PE? Currently i am working with Pega 7.2 PE and the whole package was around 4.x GB. I raised a request for Pega 7.3 and i got a zip of 2.3 GB. After downloading i was not able to find any installers like 7.2 PE had. Please let me know how to proceed with this.

You should be able to get it from below link:

There should be Readme file inside the downloaded media which describes instructions for Installing Personal Edition

To install Personal Edition, double-click the install.bat Windows Batch file. Directions can be found on the PDN at https://pdn.pega.com/pega-7-personal-edition

Hi Arya,

Guess there has been a mix up. Once you click Download 7.3 from the home screen we are allowed to download a package of 2.3GB. But that is not the personal edition package. We need to raise a request for PE and a new package (7.2.2 PE only) is allocated for us to download. I did see a difference in the size to the previous package and the current package. May be this has the new features that we can test? I am yet to find out. Would be great if someone else can update on this.

I am double clicking install.bat but with in a fraction of second that screen is getting close. Do we have to do any other setting before double clicking that?

I tried installing Pega 7.3 from the downloaded files, the installer expects a PostgreSQL DB instance (which i guess used to be packaged with the earlier version). Ran into a problem during the install, it seems to be trying to locate the earlier install of Pega

setupDatabase.xml:1513: Failed to find current installed version of PRPC

After double clicking the bat file, you will get a Pega PRPC installation wizard which takes care of installing both DB / Web server for you. It also creates shortcut links to start / stop / login the server.

I tried installing Pega 7.3 from the downloaded files, after double clicking the bat file, the PRPC installation wizard fails at the end when trying to connect to the POSTGres SQL Server, no connection could be made... the installation "port availability" check passed.  

The wizard ends with failed installation message, the log point towards possible "localhost" issue... can I fixed this by updating the LMHost file?

Tried reinstalling after a reboot but got the same message; maybe I will clean the failed 7.3.3 installation and try again. 

NOTE: previous PE versions installations worked fine

I am also facing the same issue during Pega 7.3.1 PE installation. Please find below error from log:
