I would like to know how to delete completed cases using the case ID as a key.
As a measure to address server capacity issues, I would like to delete case IDs.
When deleting case IDs, can you please let me know if it's possible to delete them individually? If so, please let me know the procedure. *I understand that it is possible to initialize the entire case at once.

You can use Obj-Delete method for pyID and Obj-Delete-By-Handle for pzInsKey.

Could you please confirm if the following steps are correct?
- Create a new activity.
- Open the target instance (Select
Obj-Open-By-Handle, Key:pzInsKey). - Delete the instance (Select
Obj-Deletemethod). - Confirm the deletion operation (Select
Commitmethod). - Set the pages and class.
Additionally, how should I back up the data if I need to do so?

If you have the pzInkskey you just need one step ie Obj-Delete-By-Handle and check the Immediate parameter. No need to open the object or commit or create new page, this step takes care of it.
If you want to backup then you need to write your own logic to copy the data to a separate table. You can also follow Pega's OOTB Cloud File storage archival policy but in that case the data will no be deleted.

You can save as the this activity pxDeleteClassInstances into your own activity and modify the first step to take pzinskey as param . then have a main activity loop over the list of completed cases pass the pzinskey of each case that needs to be deleted, So all the related data will also be deleted.
Other wise If you want to delete all the instances of the case you can use pxDeleteClassInstancesWrapper and pass the class name it will delete all the instances of the class. You can also delete all the class instaces from app studio directly.

Deleting cases in Production is not recommended, even if the case is RESOLVED-*****. Instead, consider implementing Purge and Archive to save on database storage space.
If the intent is to delete the cases in the Development instance, then you can perform the steps
App Studio -> Case Types -> 3 dots -> Click on Delete Cases ( Please note: This will remove all the cases). If you're looking for specific cases, you have to use the Obj-delete method.
