I am not able to see Steps which is present in the processs
Hi all,
i have three stage in my case, in first stage there is two process. in process containts step.but i am not able to see the steps which is present in first process.
i have attached screen short of it. please help me on this issue.

Hi Manohar,
I found that, if we are using any of the smart shapes including the assignment shape then pega showing it as the process by hiding the steps in that process.I tried it on utility shape and decision shape it is hiding the steps. Make sure that if you are using any of the smart shapes in that process or not.

Hi Manohar,
I had tried to create 2 processes in my case stage as shown in attachment and i can able to see the steps in my flow. Tested in v7.2.2 environment.

Hi Manohar,
Did you create stages and process in some release and then upgraded to a different product version ?
If not, Let me know how you added the process and steps.
Did you create the process in the Case designer itself OR added the process in the background and added it directly in Case designer?

Adding to mahesh coments.Steps means what excatly you want to see. In the latest version of pega the steps are processed as the process. we can add the multiple process and in those we can add the steps.For the complete one process it will design one flow. So give clarification what you really want.

Hi Dileep,
i have create onboarding case. in onboarding case i have three stage are following.
1.Pre-Arrival Stage
2.Equipment Selection
3.Benefits Enlrollment
so, in Equipment selection Stage i have two Process
a.Facility Setup
b.IT Setup
so, in Fcility setup ia heve three step namely
1.Select Seating Loction
2.Select Office Equipment
3.Fcility review
but i am not able to see above steps in Facility setup process in case exporer,when open the process flow diagram where i can see all setp assignment in flow diagram.
so i am asking you how to see this step in process in case exporer. please fin dattachement.

I am assuming that you created this process in background and added it directly in Case designer. If that is the case, could you confirm if your process doesn't contain decision shape. If that is the case, this is expected behavior.
We only show steps for a process if it has only simple shapes. You can look at pyIsSimpleShape when rule to check what qualifies for a simple shape.

I have created a sampe in-house containing 3 stages: a stage with 2 process and a step for each process.
I am able to observe the steps and processes.

Thank you Mounika for help, my issue has been fixed, initially when i create stage and process in case, i was able to see all process and step contain its. but when i add smart shape and utility in process flow diagram, that reason, i was not able to see the steps in case designer studio, when i delete it so now i am able to see the steps in case designer studio.
but i don't understand what is the technical reason behind this. if you know, please let me know.

Thank you Dileep. i have added smart shape, and utility in process flow, when i removed it, so in case designer i am able to see step in process.but can you brief me what is reason behind that. i could not understand why it's disappear when we add smart shape, utility in process flow.

Hi Manohar,
This feature will be added in future releases when Case designer will be modified to handle all shapes well. Currently reason for Utility and Smart shapes to not show is the parameter promoting needs to be made more intuitive.
As mentioned earlier the when rule pyIsSimpleShape drives this logic for now along with the condition that multiple connectors are also not allowed and are considered complex shapes.

Hi ,
Even i encountered the same problem while adding a decision shape to a process.Not only the steps is been displayed in case life cycle but while running a case the views are not displaying which I have created, is there any other solution for this problem.
