How to write an edit validate rule to validate text entered to only arabic.
How to write an edit validate rule to validate text entered to a text box is only Arabic. It should throw an error if you enter English chars to a field that receives Arabic chars.

Hi guys,
Well I found a solution to this. Posting it here so that it will be helpful to resolve same kind of issue.
1.I created an edit validate rule which has following code in it:
boolean IsArabic = false;
for (int pos = 0, len = theValue.length(); pos < len; ++pos){
if (null==theValue || theValue.trim().equals(""))
{
IsArabic = true;
break;
}else if (Character.UnicodeBlock.of(theValue.charAt(pos)) == Character.UnicodeBlock.ARABIC) {
IsArabic = true;
}else{
IsArabic = false;
break;
}
}
return IsArabic;
2: Calling the edit validate rule from validate rule using invokeValidate functionality.
3: Associate the error message rule with the Validate rule.
4: Refer the validate rule in the flowaction.
Upon flowaction submission the code should work!

Thanks for posting your query on PSC!!!
We don't have any OOTB validate rules to fix your issue. as an alternative approach, you can use javascript/java code in validate rule which includes regExp to validate your business requirement.

I am trying it with edit-Validate rule. However I have referred the rule in the advanced tab of property still it is not getting fired . Do I need to do any additional configuration to call the validate rule.

Any custom edit validate rule does not work on client side. We need to create corresponding js code for the same.
