how to use parse structured

Not really helpful in my case. Parse structured gives us ability to use parse methods. But I need to parse word document which has check boxes , tables etc.

Perhaps what you need is an open source library such as Apache POI. https://poi.apache.org/

Which version of Pega are you on? Since last year or so, Apache POI library is shipped with Pega.

I am working on Pega 7.1.7 with CPM FW. I did try Apache POI stand alone in eclipse to upload the sample doc and parse the data , POI can parse simple text from any DOC or simple text data present inside table , However when we have complex text like [x] Yes NO etc .. the POI parsed data skips this and blank entry is returned. I agree with you POI is useful in case of simple text parsing from Paragraphs or Tables .
