Parse multiple files using a single parse-delimited rule
May I have know if we already have a solution or suggest an approach - for parsing multiple files with 2 different formats using a single parse-delimited rule.
As I have a requirement for parsing 2 different formats, where in formats are as mentioned below :
Format 1: code, description, start date, end date
Format 2: code, start date, end date, description, effective date 1, effective date 2

As my understanding if Format 1 and Format having the like below you can use, considering the last two columns optional.
Format 1: code, description, start date, end date
Format 2: code, description, start date, end date, effective date 1, effective date 2

Thanks for the info. Actually here the scenario is that we have 2 formats which follow separate column order. Would you please suggest me in this regard.
And also would you please elaborate on maintaining the columns optional, I mean where can we locate such option in Parse-delimited rule.

There is no such options for keeping column as optional, itfthe data is not there for lost columns it will skip that column. In your case you are having different format consider using the separate Parse delimited rules, if order of the columns are different.
