How to trigger the PBE to update to newest version
The most recent, and marked as 'current', version of the PBE that we have on our sync server is 3.1.29. On my system, I have version 3.1.13 installed. When I launch the sync engine, there are no updates to the PBE being triggered. I thought maybe the update would happen on browser launch, but that doesn't work either. When I try to trigger the download directly through the localhost api, it says my PBE is already up to date. It also creates a '3.1.29' folder in the cache and adds a 'version.ready' file in there (file is empty). What am I missing?
@Thierry_SLFI suggest that you open a support request to have this investigated. There are too many variables here to examine in a timely manner in this forum. The version numbers of things were obscured on the post (likely because they look like IP addresses). You can post them as text and they should post.

PBE should be updated after a restart of the machine, but the browser cannot be open, so that may be one of the issues. I believe having a WebEx session with support can identify what is happening in this case. The difference in version should cause the synch engine to update PBE regardless of your version being higher or lower than the Synch Server.
