How to sum a pagelist in datatransform
HI, I am the below to sum up the ProductCost property returned from a datapage list. I am getting incorrect results when more than one row is returned. It seems like it is summing up the the second result twice. i.e. if the first row's product cost is 50 and the second one is 30 then I get a total cost of 60.00.
set .TotalCost = @sum(D_ProductList.pxResults().ProductCost)
I have attached the pxResults from the clipboard.
Can you please advise how to get the correct sum results.

If you are using a data transform then you can loop through the pages using the "For Each Page In" action, and keep a running total of the ProductCost.

Hi, That is what I am doing or thought I was doing but the total is not calculating correctly.
I have For Each page in D_ProductList.pxResults
Set pyWorkPage.TotalCost = @sum(D_ProductList.pxResults().ProductCost). It does not calculate correctly when there is more than one pxResult returned. I have attached the complete datatransform

It doesn't look to me like you are keeping a running total (what is the @sum function doing?). I was thinking that the calculation be something like this:
Action: Set
Target: pyWorkPage.TotalCost
Source: pyWorkPage.TotalCost + .ProductCost
As you are already looping through D_ProductList.pxResults I don't think you should just be able to use ProductCost and get the current page context.

1. Verify if properties TotalCost and ProductCost are similar data types, In most cases monetary values will be Decimal
2. Verify if Data page has loaded correctly with anticipated values and also verify if any refresh strategy applicable to data page.
3. No need to use Loop if you are using function, just use Set method to aggregate the sum using function.
