get the sum of difference in time taken in minutes between pxcreatedatetime and pxsavedatetime

I need to get the sum of time difference taken between pxcreatedatetime and pxsavedatetime for each case in a report to calculate the time taken to process all the cases in a day.

 

I am able to get the difference in minutes, but getting the sum is giving wrong values. Any suggestions to approach this in a report definition is appreciated.

Hi @SravanthiM2905: When you say the sum is showing wrong values, are you measuring manually in seconds and comparing with PEGA? If this is the case, it wont work in PEGA. Difference in minutes will not consider the seconds. Lets say a case is completed within same minute, the output of difference in minutes will be 0. If the case is created at 1:15:58 and resolved by 1:16:01, the output will be 1. Further the sum will work accordingly.

If this is your issue, try to create a new function to calculate difference in seconds. Refer this for creating new function. https://support.pega.com/question/datetime-difference-function-report-definition

My scenario is little different. I am using sub report to calculate the difference as I need to get the min value of pxcreatedatetime and max value of pxsavedatetime to find out the first commit and last commit based on primary key of the table. When I do this with sub-report, i am getting count of records rather than the sum. For Example, attached screenshot DifferenceinMinutes gives me the difference in minutes for individual batch. When I apply the sum to the difference, it's giving count of records based on the join applied on the sub-report(attached screenshot SumofMinutes).
