How to store attachments in a database table?
I would like to understand the steps needed to store the attachments to a custom table

Just don't do it. You'll have to customise about everything related to uploading, downloading and displaying attachments.
Or your purpose is for understanding what happens in pega when storing attachments, but then you can simply trace the upload of an attachment.

+1 for Just don't do it. In addition to already mentioned, storing attachments in the DB can lead to increased DB size. As DB size grows the backups take longer time to complete, and keep taking up more storage etc

Hi, I have done in my current project. after uploading the document, you can take document pzinskey and ass to D_Attachment object data page. then you can ma that pyattachment stream values to required data base column. the pyattachment stream contain binary code, that code you have to save into data base. Please you refer attached images.
