How to stop the execution of the report on clicking the report shortcut.
I have to stop the execution of the report when the user selects the report shortcut link from the manager portal unless the user enters the filter criteria . For the filter criteria , I have used a section in the report and using the same data as a filter condition in the report .
Can how body help as to how can it be achieved.
Note: There is an OOTB feature in the report , prompt for filter changes but I want something other than this .

What is your actual use case for this? Do you want to restrict user to run the report without entering filter so that the report does not pick up value unnecessarily ?

The requirement is unless the user enters the data in the report filter section the report should not run .This is to stop the unnecessary db hit because when the report runs by default it gets a lot of data since the volume of data is more in db. I want to stop the report execution the first time
