How to specify user name and password in service request xml
How do we authenticate Service requestor which is to be authenticated by BASIC authorization.
What xml tag names to be used in header parameter for REST or SOAP request header?
How do we map it and pass to basic authentication process?
This service is being called from Java where request xml needs to formed. In case of Pega/soap ui they provide option to specify user details.
It would be great if screenshot or header xml is provided.
There is another pdn thread for similar request but I could not find the xml tag names of user & password.

Unfortunately, you are describing a mechanism that does not match the HTTP Basic Authentication specification and therefore would not be supported by the SOAP Services you have described.
Perhaps, if you have a working SOAP UI project, you could export it and send it to the customer. If they are not supposed to know/use the credentials that you are using, duplicate your working project, change the credentials, export that copy, and instruct them on entering their own username and password.

Hi, I had gone through that link, made those setting changes but I am not getting soap header in Raw tab of soapUI. Please find the attached screenshot of Raw tab. I am trying to figure out the SOAP header in case of Basic Auth.

For Basic authentication, your SOAP Client (SoapUI in this case) will be constructing a value for the "Authorization" HTTP header. You will not see anything in your SOAP message (XML) related to the credentials as the HTTP header is not part of the SOAP payload.

Hi, I am able to see different options in SoapUI related to user credentials. But my requirement is to construct sample request xml (including user credentials) of service to provide consumer. So that they can use it in soap ui with different values. Here instead of sharing user credentials, I wanted to include them in request xml.
