How to setup bix in Unix environment

Hi,

I am Using PRPC 7.1.8. How to setup BIX  in Unix?

What are the rules  and properties file should be in UNIX box?

Would you please provide the detail instructions to setup Batch process in UNIX box?

Please note that you should use the BIX version provided in the Pega 7.1.8 distribution image under the "additional products" folder. Please do not download the latest BIX version. Each version of the Pega 7 platform comes with the corresponding version of BIX so using an older or newer version of BIX is not recommended or supported.

There is nothing different you need to do with BIX on UNIX. BIX comes with an ANT script and modifying the BIX.XML file and invoking ANT with that script file should execute BIX correctly. This assumes that you do know how to work with ANT and providing the right parameters to it.

Note that the BIX user guide is also packaged with the BIX distribution image (in the Pega 7.1.8 distribution image). You might want to refer to this support article if you do run into an issue connecting with the database - https://community.pega.com/support/support-articles/pega-717-bix-command-line-execution-error
