How to rebuild search index for date range only

Hi All,

We had an issue in production after the app servers were restarted last night.  ElasticSearch got it's knickers in a twist and thought only 1 search node was online even though the dashboard showed all 3 online.  Anyways so no work has been indexed today as a result. 

How do I re-index only today's work items?  I can't do all work items for multiple classes as it takes hours and impacts the business.

So in order to fix this issue without the timely rebuild I did a private edit on an existing activity and did the following :-

  1. Obj-Browse - using date range for pxCreateDateTime and pxUpdateDateTime
  2. Loop over each record
  3. Obj-Open-By-Handle - lock
  4. Obj-Save
  5. Call CommitWithErrorHandling
  6. Page-Unlock
  7. Page-Remove

This works just fine, but I was hoping there was a better more OOTB approach to doing this.
