How is Projected Reach calculated in Scenario Planner Agility Tool
The business wants to use the Scenario Planner to make changes to the offer benefits and view the projected reach with the changes. When this was done, the numbers seen in the projected reach when no change was done was less than what was the average reach in production. We want to investigate this gap and see why there is a difference in the BAU prediction with no change. For this, we want to understand how pega calculates the Projected Reach. Can you please elaborate.

@Hansas18A simulation run will take each 'record' in your input sample dataset (typically inbound or outbound sample), run it against the selected and configured strategies, and aggregate the 'top' actions/treatments yielded for the record. Project Reach is the aggregate count for an issue/group/action/treatment as yielded by the Strategies for the entire sampled input dataset.
If you're seeing odd results, could be a number of things at play. For example, if you're on 24.2 or up, you may need to configure the parameters for the inbound data set in such a way that both the before and after simulations use the same sampled interactions (i.e. same data/time range).

Need clarifications on both the points you have listed.
1. Aggregate the "top" actions/treatments and the aggregate count for the issue/group/action/treatment is the projected reach. Does this mean that only the top ranking is counted? If so, is it top 1 or top 5 or top 10 etc? So, if the action/treatment is the very last offered, its not counted? Please elaborate as this is a very important point, since we are comparing to our production count which includes every time the action/treatment is presented, not just top.
2. "Configuring the parameters for the inbound data set in such a way that the before and after simulation use the same sampled interactions". Can you share the user docs for doing this?
