How to open up Windows folder from button
Hi,
This is a very simple question but I just simply want to have a button on section where user clicks and pops up a Windows explorer. The folder location will vary but for now I am just hard coding something like \\remotehost\data. I tried using "Open URL in Windows" action but it is not bringing anything up. What is the easiest way to do this?

I don't think it is a browser that is blocking this but Pega is restricting this because if I make an HTML file like below, IE opens directory successfully.

<A HREF="file:///C:\temp\" </A> Open a directory from here.

Adding to Sachit’s response..
Browsers infact do not allow such actions [access to local resources]. I am guessing you are running your test html file directly instead of hosting it in a web server. This circumvents a lot of restrictions for IE. Try hosting the file in tomcat and you will see that the same functionality works no more.
This has nothing to do with Pega.
EDIT: Link here says that you can get past the restriction for specific domains by adding them as trusted sites. See the last comment in this link.

Oh really - yes I placed that HTML file on my desktop, not web server. I am not able to setup that using remote web server, so I believe what you guys say. Now, understanding it is against security but can we break it somehow because it is one of important customer's requirements..

"Open URL in Windows", isn't correct action set. It's for opening the work object or the configured link in the new Browser's Window(Not Window Explorer's Folder of workstation)
