How to load report definition on a Tab instead of Pop-up?
How to load report definition on a Tab instead of Pop-up, and how we can move the focus on a opened case item automatically if user clicks on a report item. So if user on a report and clicks an item from the list, while opening the clicked item user needs to see it instead of the pop-up/tabbed report screen.

Pega provided a hotfix to open the drilldown report on click of a chart wedge in the same tab. we have used composite tab group layout in our portal to open the report with chart in a separate tab. Pega version 7.3

For this you could try adding a set focus action after the Open Selected Item.

Hello Somnath,
Thanks for posting your query on PSC. If my understanding is correct, you want to open a work object from the report definition in a new tab and same for reports too.
You can use "pyCaseManager" instead of "pyCaseManager7" which includes the dynamic container. what all the reports/ workobjects you would like to open from report definition will be opened in a new tab in case manager portal.
You can also try:
In Pega 7 case manager (pyCaseManager7). Create a new report with the list, open the report and click on work-object, it will open in the current window and focus will get onto opened work object.

for the option 1, it works for cases not for Reports. I have tried to run a report, every time it opens in pop up.
for option 2, I have tried but focus is not going to the opened case after I click on the report items. It is opening in back without notifying user.
