How to limit the number of portal opened in browser tab
As we all know,it's available to open multi UserPortal in multi browser tab in Pega Cosmos 8.6 by right click case id or open url in windows or window.open().
I am worried about the sever resource(memory,cpu.etc) when there are too many portals are opened in browser tab.
I want to know how to limit the number of browser tab that user can open in pega.
If you have any ideas about it please reply me.

You can set the tab limit on the tab labelled "Dynamic" within the relevant Section in the Harness for your Portal.
If you encounter performance problems despite setting the documented configuration please could you open a support incident for this to allow our support team to have a look at your issue.

@MarijeSchillern Hi we are using pega 8.6.1 and not using Dynamic section to open the tabs like in 7 version. Users are opening the multiple cases in tabs using right click on case ID and Open link in a new tab option. As they are opening many cases at a time, we are facing JVM memory threshold issues. Could you please suggest if there any was to limit opening of tabs.

@maheshmadi there would not be an OOTB solution.
You can check this post for ways of stopping users from doing that.
Be aware that as per the Design configuration of Pega Theme Cosmos Pega does not support that feature in Theme cosmos. That design method is built on a SPA approach where the Main User Portal harness is configured to hold a Dynamic Container. This Dynamic container is responsible to render the Harnesses which are linked to the Navigation Menu's. When we click on the Nav Menu the Dynamic container replaces the present harness with the new harness which is tagged with the Nav menu item.
Hence the feature of Open on a new Tab is not supported for Pega Theme Cosmos. Note an updated provided in this discussion.
There is also a new article that explains how to open an assignment in a new browser tab using a regular button with theme-cosmos - see https://collaborate.pega.com/discussion/how-open-assignment-new-browser-tab-using-theme-cosmos

If your users want a more reactive UI, you can hook up a subscription channel that will refresh the worklist when a case is updated - https://docs-previous.pega.com/creating-and-subscribing-notification-channel - once you have created a subscription channel, you can easily force a refresh of the list when a push event is sent by the server
