How to generalize file / manifest export file directory in Pega BIX Extract Rule?
In BIX-Extract Rule, on specification tab, we can provide Extract File directory path and Manifest File Directory Path. (Hard coded).
In case we are generating multiple file and performing extract at same shared path. How to generalize this one. I tried passing path using Data system setting (DSS) and also using "=Page.Property", but it is not working. Can somebody please let me know how to generalize it ?

Depending on what version you're using, the following wildcard strings may be available (I'm unsure when they came into existence):
- %i - (RunIdentifier) The unique run identifier that is written in the extract file.
- The identifier can be passed in as a command-line parameter to the command-line extract process using the -k option.

If no identifier is passed in, the system generates an identifier consisting of the pzInsKey of the Extract rule followed by a unique sequence number that increments every time that the extract runs.

This identifier is unique across all nodes.
- %s - The automatically-generated sequence number.
- %c - (ClassName) The Applies To class of the Extract rule.
- %r - The name of the Extract rule.
- %d - (ExtractRunDate) The date of the extract run.
- %t - (ExtractRunDateTime) The date and time of the extract run.

Use the -P command-line option to override the output directories specified on this tab, instead
directing all files to a specified location.

Hi, thanks for your input. We are trying to call OOTB "pxExtractDataWithArgs" activity using another activity (in agent) and we don't want to hardcode output report directory path. How to generalize this?
Using DSS and using "=Page.property" we tried but it is not working. how to do that? Please share step by step guide to perform this.

Hi,
Did you get solution for your current problem.
We are trying to follow below steps
1) Genererate parameter with -P parameter to which pass the location of the directory in which output of the BIX to be saved using DSS etc.
2) pass the above parameter in pyArgs parameter for OOTB pxExtractDataWithArgs activity.
