How to fire required fields validation from a button
Hi All,
I would like to fire required fields validation on our own defined button, instead of writing validation rules.
Generally Required Fields automatically fires when we submit flow action. I need to implement the same behaviour on our button.
I have tried below approach but didn't worked, every time the validation is firing even when the value is there.
Any suggestions will be helpful.

Hi Srinivas,
I tried including below script in userworkform html fragment for testing and called 'validateFields' function using run script on button action for click event.
<script>
function validateFields()
{
if(bClientValidation &&(typeof(validation_validate) == "function")&& !validation_validate())
{
alert("Please correct error fields");
}
}
</script>
It is working properly at my end, when there is value in required field no alert is shown. When the required field is blank, then an alert pops up on click of button.
If you try this approach and it does not work, provide the configuration screenshots to understand if something is missing.

Cant you have the Validate rule in your flow action itself. So when you submit, the Validate rule mentioned in flow action would be called.

Hi Srinivas,
You call a validate rule in an activity and refer that activity on the button.
