How to find the history table for a given class

Given a class, how do i find into which History table the history of the class instances are written.

There's not always a probability of having a History<ClassName>.

Actually i don't have history classes for many classes. They are created long back in 6x version.

How do you control where the history records are written. in my case i think they are written to pc_history_work etc
