How to enable SSL in application hosted at Pega cloud instance for customer JDBC database connection through VPN?

I understand that SSL would be invoked from recipient database. however, at Pega application (Pega cloud) end we would need to do the required configuration or pass required parameter to adhere to SSL. Need to know how it could be achieved?
