How to download files from FTP server and store in local directory

i need to download files from FTP server and store in local directory, how to do this.. Could you advice please

i have completed the automation but quite often face an error that is FTP session disabled due to modal dialog.. Could this be fixed anyway ? It stops file being downloaded.
