How to delegate a data type defined from Data Explorer
Hi All,
In Pega 7 as we have Data Explorer to define data types which can be used as drop downs from the UI. If I have to provide an option to the Business user to update drop down values dynamically I should be able to delegate the data type defined from Data Explorer
Can anyone help me understand how do delegate these data types and how do the business users access these? Is it using My Rules option from the Operator ID ?
Thanks in Advance..!!
Hi Anusha,
Kindly review the information as presented in PDN article for "Delegating a rule or data type" (in Pega 7.1.8): https://community.pega.com/sites/default/files/help_v718/procomhelpmain.htm type
For your reference, you need to implement the following steps to delegate a data type:
1. To delegate a data type, in the Actions menu of the Data Designer, click Delegate.
2. From the Delegate to access group drop-down list, select the access group to which to delegate the rule or data type.
3. In the Title field, enter a title for the delegated rule or data type.
4. In the Detailed Description field, enter detailed information about the delegated rule or data type. This text is displayed to the user.
