How to create a dedicated db table for a new class created in pega
Hi,
I have created a new class to store some data that we are receiving through some external system. Currently that class is mapped to pr_others. I want to create a dedicated table in db for this class. I created a Database table rule to map a new table to that class, but while doing test connectivity, it is showing that the table does not exist in database.
How to get that table created in the pega db?

Hi @KaranG62,
I would recommend you to refactor the created class using refactor wizard and re-create it again as a concrete class so that system will create db table automatically in the backend.
If you don't want to do this then the other way is write sql script to create table and run it or you can request your DBA to create one.

The class I created is already a concrete class and with setting "does not belong to class group". This has not created any db table and was mapped to pr_others. I created a Database Table rule and mapped it to a custom table, but shows no table with this name exist in db.

@KaranG62 : Create a SQL Script to create a Table with Required columns and execute it in DB.
once table Created, then gotto Record Explorer -> SysAdmin -> Database Table.
Choose the class and update the Schema and Table name which you created and perform test connectivity.
so that you can map the class with custom DB table.

Hi Thamizharasi,
This approach will work, but ideally for a concrete class pega should automatically create a dedicated table as for the new class I created, one history class got created automatically and one dedicated table by the name "pr_classname" was created for the history table.
