How to change color for the selected header column when clicked for sorting in repeating grid?
Hi,
I have a requirement where I have to change the color for the active fied header that is selected for sorting. I found out that the sorting indicator(arrow icon) can be changed from the skin but did not get any option to change the color for the header column itself. Is there any way to do that?

Hello Subhajit,
I don't think this is possible OOTB. You can try using java script coding to achieve the same.

Hi,
The image to display when the sorting, is being performed , can be changed from the skin rule, under component 'Trees and Grids', under Headers tab, you have got the sortIndicator option, where you can modify that to the required image.
Not sure for the other requirement, if ootb way is available or not !

Hi Harita,
The icon can be changed from the skin that I have already checked and mentioned in the post but the header field color change is the main issue that we are stuck with the color change for the header field. I have tried checking in the skin which has the behaviour tab as well but still no luck.

Hi Subhajit,
As Mounika mentioned, it is not possible through OOTB. Even if you add custom javascript to add background color, it will not retain as table is getting refreshed to display sorted values.
If you are adding custom script, you have to follow below steps:
- Get the clicked element,
- Wait till table refreshes,
- Add background color.
But with this approach also, it is difficult to achieve that. Because, every time you have to first retain the values of already filtered columns and then update the new one along with them.
