Have Different windows show different content for same user logged in
Hello,
We have a requirement to be able to open different cases on different windows so we can place the windows next to each other and compare the two cases.
Is that possible ?
Currently on 2 windows, I can not select different cases as it keeps refreshing to display the same content on the 2 windows.
Thanks,
Mariane

I don't think we have OOTB rule for this.

Hello Gayatri,
Thank you for your reply.
Do you have any suggestion about how to customize it ? (maybe through query parameters to the snapstart module ?!)
Thanks,

Hello Mariana,
Have you tried using openURLWindow passing .pzInsKey??

Hello Naveen,
Can you please elaborate how using openURLWindow can enable us to have different windows show different content for the same logged in user ?
In other words, our clients needs to see two cases at a time to compare them.
We do not mind if it is in different windows or in different layouts next to each other as long as they can see two cases next to each other to compare them. For example, is it possible to split the layout ?!
Thanks in advance,
Mariane

You can try to use a tabbed layout so that you can have mutiple tabs open at the same time.. Even then I am not sure whether the focus will automatically move to the same tab in both windows.
Have you tried opening two different sessions ? Say one login via a incoginto window ?

Hello Krithiga_GCS,
Thanks for you reply
When using a tabbed layout, the focus will automatically move to the same tab in both windows.
To answer your question: when opening two different sessions for same user say one login via incognito window, not the same cases appear in both windows :)
Do you think it is possible to reproduce that same scenario if say the user is only using Google Chrome without incognito ?
Our only objective is have the same user see different cases in different windows.
Thank you,
Mariane

I do not believe this is possible. The screen/session mirroring was added to avoid this message seen in prior legacy releases.

Hello Rett,
Thank you for you reply.
Our clients needs to see two cases at a time to compare them. How do you suggest to achieve that ?
Is it possible to split the layout for a example ?!
Thank you in advance for your help :)

You may want to design your own "compare" section and load it with the WO the user picks. I am not sure if there is any OOTB way to do this

I agree with Krithiga, I think it will be better for your users to create a compare Cases sections showing all differences.
