Getting Null pointer exception while adding data field to a step in case life cycle
I am getting the below error while adding data field to a step. It was not allowing me to complete the exercise please help me out from this.

What Pega version? Can you check the logs for a stack trace?
In a prior instance where I saw the "Error occurred trying to parse the expression and augmenting the code" message it was due to an error compiling a Rule-Utility-Function. You can try recompiling the library and re-saving the rule that is trying to call it.

This one has the same error. It's on Pega 7.3. It is fixed by applying HFix-42466.
Additionally, perform the following:

- Resave the rules.
- Recompile those rules that display the parse error at runtime (for exmaple, myRule).
