Generation of Multiple XML files using BIX
hi,
I have a requirement where I have to generate separate XML files for each case which are updated between the last BIX runtime and the next BIX runtime, I am running BIX using the Command Line option.
When I run now , it generates one XML file with all the cases .. but I want to generate separate XML for each updated case.
Any suggestions on how this can be achieved.

Hi,
Each Bix extract run can generate only one xml output file.
You have to modify the filter criteria to meet your requirements.
Run the extract each time you require output in separate file with desired filter criteria.

Thanks for the reply, I dont see any option or condition in the Extract file where I can specify separate XML has to be generated for each case. also, as per the requirement I have to extract the entire case details as XML. not any specific fields in the case.

Hi,
As mentioned, one run of extract rule generates one output file only.
If you put pyID=M-28 in filter criteria tab of extract rule, then you will get output file which contains only M-28 case.
There is no configuration option in Bix to generate separate file for each case.
Entire case detail is stored in BLOB(pzpvstream)column and you can do obj-open-byhandle in activity to see the content of blob in xml format.

Try configuring an agent queue for the cases and run the extract for each queue item.
Use %s or any other substitution strings in the output file name sothat new file gets created each time extract is run.

Hi , - Can you brief you requirement?
And also by looking at the above requirement, this looks like not possible through BIX.
And why are you choosing BIX only for this requirement?
