Is framework upgrade required?
We have an application in V6.3 that is built on order management framework (V6) but none of the framework features/components are used. If the application is upgraded to V7.2.x :
1. Will it need a new version of the framework? (The new versions of order management is now specialized for each industry.)
2. Are there any known issues while upgrading the order management framework?
3. Is it a good idea to remove the dependency on the framework before/after upgrade?

Yes, you need the new vrsion of framework if you would like to leverage the Order Management features.
2. Are there any known issues while upgrading the order management framework?
Old Order Managemement framework is deprecated and now it is splitted into two frameworks. I thik these two frameworks has considerable amount of changes compare to old Order Managemetn Framework.

3. Is it a good idea to remove the dependency on the framework before/after upgrade?
It is always recomended to remove the dependecy before upgrade and test your application thoroughly to make sure that none of the OMF features are used in the application.
