Flow action pre -processing Data transform not getting executed.
I am facing weird issue in Pega 8.4.6. Below is series to replicate it.
1. Open one case to perform. There are some validations added in validation rule.
2. I submit case but validation fails due to some reason. Now page contains error messages.
3. I have added pyTransferAssignment OOTB flow action as case wide local action.
4. I tries to open Transfer assignment flow action from Action menu but pre-processing Data transform and activity of pyTransferAssignment is not getting executed.
5. When there are no error on page, it executes normally.
(Note: We applied fix in pyWorkActionsPopulatePerform activity and cleared error messages and it is working, but not sure this is correct fix. )

Could you please if there any pre-conditions in the pre-processing activity / Data Transform which is there in the Transfer assignment flow action to not execute the further steps.

Could you please trace when you are trying to invoke the flow action? Please check if there are any steps that are blocking the OOTB activity: performFlowAction which is getting executed when any flow action is invoked.

If there are multiple Data transforms configured on a single button followed by the Finish Assignment then this is not an ideal configuration. As the Properties of the DT's are in the screen and before all these multiple Data transforms are run the finish assignment is getting executed which may be causing the issue.
In scenarios like this we would advise to change the configuration by adding the DT's in the post processing of the flow action and on the button just configure the FinishAssignment to make sure that it is executed.
@ManpreetKaur please also check the sequence within your flow action. Bear in mind that if using Constraint rules it is expected behaviour the page will not be saved if we have any error.
Please run a Tracer and if required log a support incident on the MSP if this needs a more in-depth investigation. Please let us know the INC reference to help us track it if you decide to go down that route.
