Filters not working for table layout

Hi

I am having a requirement to show list values in a table and the values always editable. Wanted to filter the values at the column level. This option is available only when the edit option is  set to click on row edit. Filtering  option at column level is disabled when the edit option is rows always editable.

Please refer the attached screenshots for reference.

Any specific reason for this? Why can't we filter columns when the rows are always editable?

Any inputs on this are highly appreciated.

The attachment shows the aggregated Table Properties. Your screenshot says "Additional settings" on the column. Try looking at individual Column Properties windows.
