We have requirement of calculating connector duration. the duration should be sent to service metrics (SPLUNK) dashboard. The application already has many connectors implemented and deployed in production. This application implemented many connectors including CONNECT-SOAP, CONNECT-MQ and CONNECT-REST .

To find the duration of the connector, We must customize the activities Rule-Connect-SOAP.Invoke , Rule-Connect-MQ.Invoke and Rule-Connect-REST.Invoke. This needs to insert steps at the top and bottom of the activity to find the duration of the call. We believe this would need changes during Pega upgrades. this also require multiple rule changes.

Could you please let us know, do we have any extension points which would allow to calculate the service duration, provide connector start time and end time? This would not require changes during the pega upgrades.

Please suggest if Pega has a solution for this requirement.
