Error message is disappearing when focus shifted from required date field.
I have a date field(text input + calender display mode) and is a required field.
And theres' a edit validate rule on the property being used here.
When we enter some input data, edit validate runs and throws error on the screen. As its a text input input and calender mode of display, still cursor is on the same field.
So, here when we click outside the field, error message disappears. Its not persistent.
How the keep the error message constant even though required option enabled for the control.

Could you please provide the below information to investigate further
- The Date property created is of Date or DateTime Data type?
- Which version of Pega you are using in your application?
- Does the error exists in the clipboard even it is not showing in UI?
- Do the date property have any action set configured?
- What Edit validate rule is configured is that OOTB or customized?

I Configured a Date Property in Pega 7.3.1 with required option as "Always". I am getting the OOTB validation error message displayed in UI by clicking the date field without entering any value and focusing out of the control.
Does the Required option mentioned in the description is used from the Property cell configuration or it comes from the validation rule?
Also, I have tested with "IsFutureDate" edit validate rule available and still error persists on the UI after focusing out from the control.
Ideally with the above configuration it should display the error even after focusing out of the control.

Trying with Pega 8.2.2
And property type is 'Date' and error i can see on clipboard. The action set is change/tab key event with post value and a customized edit validate rule

I tried configuring the same in 8.2.2 with required field validation. The error disappears only when the post value is configured in the action set. Without action set it is working fine.
It seems to be some conflict with the date Property required validation error with the post value configured on the action set.

Hi,
As stated, the date property contains a required condition and a validation. When we enter a wrong value in the filed, it will throw an error. Now again focusing the control and focus out, the required configuration is trigeering which is a client side validation which is checking that it has some value so it is removing all messages from the control.
Here the issue is not with the event action set.
This is an expected behaviour from Pega.
If we remove the required configuration, the error message will persist on screen.
