error on grid row update
Hello,
We defined a row refresh when a column property changes and configured the grid to run the activity pzPostUpdateRecordWrapper.
When we change the property the row was updated but we got an error. In the tracer we have this error:
Failed to find a 'RULE-OBJ-ACTIVITY' with the name 'PZPOSTUPDATERECORDWRAPPER' that applies to 'Rule-Obj-Class'. There were 2 rules with this name in the rulebase, but none matched this request. The 2 rules named 'PZPOSTUPDATERECORDWRAPPER' defined in the rulebase are:
2 unrelated to applies-to class 'Rule-Obj-Class', for example: {Data-, Code-Pega-List}
How can we fix this error?

When you trace this, what's the class of primary page on which this PZPOSTUPDATERECORDWRAPPER activity is run? May be this would give you a clue if activity is defined on right class.
Advanced configuration mentions:
Does this mean that post grid update activity needs to be defined on three classes: Code-Pega-List, section class and grid row class? This does not seem to be correct!!! May be someone from Pega UI teams can clarify what does this statement mean!

My learning would be...
- to quick test by overriding the activity pyPostGridUpdate
- in application ruleset
- with applies-to class as the class of pagelist property
- or any in the hierarchy of inheritance...

This error message may be a clue. It says it is seeking an activity amongst ones whose applies-to class is Rule-Obj-Class, but that is not likely to be the applies-to class where the activity should be sought.
Does this happen all the time, or only sporadically ?
I suggest you use tracer and fiddler to understand better why the activity is being seeked in Rule-Obj-Class.

Hi Eric,
Yes it happens all the time.
In the pzDoGridAction activity in the step 5 the pyClassName is setted correctly and the pxObjClass is setted Rule-Obj-Class in the java code.But i don't understand why the validation is on the pxObjClass and not on the pyClassName.
Do i need to open a SR?
