i want to add some data to a data type..but whenever i try to do that i get an error saying ..
"error: Create new record failed: pxCreateRecord API failed ".
please explain whats happening, i am a total beginer.

If you have access to DB try this,
Create new record failed: pxCreateRecord API failed. | Support Center (pega.com)
else delete data type you have created from App studio.

@AlapanS16657612this error could be due to privilege issue. Please Go to Records -> Security --> Access Role Name .
Now open you respective Access Group from that List. Then Open your data type which you are facing this issue. Now copy your Class name from that data type.Check whether that class name is already defined else Add New row inside Access Role Name and Now paste your class and enter 5 in all Read ,Write and delete instances.

Can you run Test connectivity for the class used for the data type and also for the respective data table once? Check if it is giving success or any errors.
