Enhancement request for passing parameters of field values in a section
I was wondering was the status is from the enhancement request Jonep did 5 years ago. Stated in this Question: https://collaborate.pega.com/question/what-correct-syntax-when-using-parameterised-field-value
I still encounter the issue that I want to be able to pass a parameter in a section so a field value can be used more dynamically. This is possible when you include a section with a parameter or use a data page as a source in a control. So why not for the field value used as a label?

@Dorien47 the enhancement referenced in the article was closed as resolved.
It seems that the configuration in the screenshots of the original forum post were invalid. We added support for label controls and the issue was that we don’t use \t in value of label . If we select a label and that has parameters, the grid to take parameter values should be displayed in property panel .

As of 8.3 the documentation I've seen states that the following criteria can now be met by the product:
- The parameters displayed at the design time take constants, property references and param.XXX as inputs
- Support provided in template, Non template, Vtable and Non Vtable formats of the control
- Support in offline: filedvalue param accept constants, property references, doesn't accept param.xx (section parameter)
- Support for parameterised field values in the design time configuration of formatted text control when a FV is used for displaying a value and for append and prepend text
If you try the suggestion in this post "Passing parameters to a section" does it then work?

Could you provide us with a simple example where it does not work as documented?

@MarijeSchillern Thanks so much for your reply.
I've checked the post, but unfortunately it's not what I mean. Here the value of the property is called as a parameter, but I actually mean a parameter inside of the label text (see attachment 1). And that can't be set in the cell properties window where the label is set (see 2). For a data page, for example, this can be done in the cell properties window (see 3). Hope this is somewhat clearer.
